In 10 years, the number of the SIM Card that spread across the world is projected to reach 50 billion. Far more than the earth's population is only around 6 billion.
These projections are presented Ericsson. Swedish network vendor is projecting there will be 50 billion devices connected to each other telecommunication equipment in 2020.
"There will be 50 billion telecommunications devices are connected, not just among humans, but between devices only. Number SIM Card will be more than the human population would be," said Hardyana Syintawati, VP Marketing and Communication of Ericsson Indonesia, in a discussion of broadband in Wisma Ericsson, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/14/2010).
No need for long to wait until 2020. Currently, many people who have more than a SIM card for a variety of telecommunications equipment. Starting from the main phone number, secondary phone, to a variety of other gadgets such as 3G iPad.
